Our Supporters

Nothing we do would be possible if not for this outstanding group of businesses who have pledged their support over the years. Whether they made charitable contributions, sponsored our events, or brought us in for a Positivity Presentation, the following businesses have been significant supporters of our mission.

The 2020 MTM Vitality Award

For the third year in a row, we're thrilled to announce the 2020 MTM Vitality Award.

This award was in the form of a lightweight power chair supplied to a young girl living in Southampton, PA. Melissa is an artsy 23-year-old who loves to paint (she even has an Etsy store). Melissa's accessible vehicle has been having trouble over the last year and she's been trying to come up with a better solution. This new chair will enable Melissa to leave her home without using her accessible van as the new chair can be folded up and placed in the trunk of a car.

Thank you, MTM Financial Group, for all of your support over the years!

The 2019 MTM Vitality Award

For the second year in a row, we're thrilled to announce the 2019 MTM Vitality Award.

LAMN has funded a van adaptation for a family living in Maryland. The grant was supplied in honor of MtM Financial Group, an organization based out of Bethlehem, PA that has been a generous and long time supporter of our mission!

Micah and his family are very excited (as you can see by this picture) about this conversion as it is helping to make the world more accessible for him!

Thank you MTM for all of your support over the years!

The 2018 MTM Vitality Award

The 2018 MTM Financial Vitality Grant was gifted on October 8, 2018 to a young girl named Armani, who lives in Arizona. Armani lives with SMA Type 1 and is a playful toddler who LOVES being outside. Armani’s mother requested an adaptive tricycle from LAMN to help Armani enjoy the outdoors without being confined to her stroller.

The team at MTM Financial have been long time supporters of our efforts to help those living with muscular dystrophy. Founders Diane and Gene Dickison never miss a LAMN fundraising event and are the first in line to help our cause whenever needed. We are honored to be gifting this Vitality Award to Armani in honor of our family at MTM Financial! You are helping us change many lives!

The Lee and Dolly Butz Vitality Award

To call them philanthropists would be an understatement. For decades, Lee and Dolly Butz have invested their time, energy, and resources in a multitude of selfless projects to improve the Lehigh Valley community.

For several years, the Butz family has been a huge supporter of Laughing At My Nightmare, Inc. Time and time again, their generosity astounds us. This Vitality Award is proudly given in their honor to an individual with muscular dystrophy with an immediate, critical need.

Our goal is to provide equipment that helps people be more comfortable, healthy, and productive, and we are able to do that because of amazing supporters like Lee and Dolly.

The W. David Piner Vitality Award

This annual grant—given to support an individual with MD who has particularly critical medical needs—bears the name of William David Piner, an early benefactor of Laughing At My Nightmare whose contributions and commitment to our mission vitalized our fledgling nonprofit organization enabling it to grow.

In June 2016, The W. David Piner Vitality Award was given in the form of a SoftTub Therapy Pool to the Kulas Family of Port Crane, NY! Two young boys (Kyan and Kalen) living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy can now work on strengthening their muscles!

The Caitlin Dutson and Carissa Roca Vitality Award

Laughing At My Nightmare is honored to announce the 2018 Caitlin Dutson and Carissa Roca Vitality Award! This award is being given in honor of Caitlin, Carissa, and their classmates in the Occupational Therapy Graduate Program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, for their passionate efforts to support our equipment granting program!

While balancing heavy course loads, careers, and many other responsibilities, Caitlin, Carissa, and their peers volunteered their time and energy to organize a highly successful fundraising event to benefit our charitable efforts.

This Vitality Award provided a patient lift to a woman living with a form of muscular dystrophy in order to help her parents with lifting her in and out of their home and providing mobility within the home. This grant was gifted in June of 2018.
